- Acera D Cap contains DOMPERIDONE 30 MG & RABEPRAZOLE SODIUM 20 MG which belongs to a group of medicines called Antacid medicine is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
- Acera D Cap’s most common side effects are diarrhea, stomach pain, dryness in mouth, headache, flatulence, and weakness.
- Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better. If you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breast feeding, need to inform your doctor. You should also inform your doctor if you have any Kidney problem.
- Acera-D Capsule 10's contains two medicines, namely Rabeprazole and Domperidone. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce stomach acid by blocking the actions of an enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase or gastric proton pump). This gastric proton pump lies in the cells of the stomach wall. It is responsible for releasing gastric acid secretion and damaging tissues in the food pipe, stomach, and duodenum (uppermost part of the small intestine). On the other hand, Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that increases the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract and blocks the vomiting-inducing centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone-CTZ).
- Take the medication as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time every day.
