- Alprax 0.50 tablet contains Alprazolam 0.50mg which belongs to a group of medicines called Anxiolytics medicine. Which used to treat Brain related dis-orders such as such as severe anxiety, anxiety associated with depression (low mood associated with fear and stress) and panic disorders (a feeling of terror, without any association of real danger).
- Alprax 0.50 Tablet’s most common side effects light headache, Sedation, Sleepiness, Memory Impairment, Slurred Speech, Tiredness and dizziness.
- As it vary from person to person It may also cause weight gain or weight loss. Before taking this medicine; you should inform your doctor about your complete medical history. If you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breast feeding, need to inform your doctor. Doctor may suggest some medical tests before initiating treatment. If you have been taking this medicine for a long time then regular monitoring of blood and liver functions may be required.
- Alprax 0.50mg has alprazolam as its main ingredient. This tablet enhances the effect of the chemical substance GABA, thereby reducing and inhibiting the abnormal and excessive nerve cells and nerve transmission within the brain. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as the sudden stopping of this medicine may result in worsening of the condition. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose of the medicine.
- Take the medication as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time.
