- Amlosafe TM 40mg tablet contains Amlodipine 5 MG Telmisartan 40 MG which belongs to a group of medicines called Antihypertensive medicine, It lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and making it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This will reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.
- Amlosafe TM 40mg tablet’s most common side effects headache, Nausea, Swelling, Fatigue, sleepiness, Abdominal pain, Increse Pottasium level in blood, Upper respiratory tract infection, Stuffy Nose, Visual Disturbance.
- You should also inform your doctor about your complete medical history before initiating the treatment. Don't stop taking medicine without your doctor's advice. It’s important to keep taking this medicine even if you feel well. Your doctor will lower your dose gradually over a period of time to help prevent these symptoms. If you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breast feeding, need to inform your doctor.
- Amlosafe TM 40mg tablet is a combination medicine that Telmisartan and Amlodipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Telmisartan is is angiotensin receptor blocker (ARBs), prescribed for hypertension. It works by relaxing blood vessels and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) which is used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain or pressure (angina). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
- Take the medication as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time every day.
