- Augmentin Duo 625 mg tablet contains Amoxycillin 500 mg & Clavulanic Acid 125mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called antibiotics known as penicillin combination It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works against various types of bacteria. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold.
- Augmentin Duo 625 mg Tablet’s most common side effects are vomiting, Nausea & Diarrhea. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.
- Before taking it, let your doctor know if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems. You should also let your healthcare team know about all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. This medicine is generally regarded as safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding if prescribed by a doctor.
- Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
- It may be taken with the food as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time.
