Ovral L Tablet is a combination medicine used for oral contraception (prevention of pregnancy). This medicine is not recommended for use in patients yet to achieve menarche.This combination hormone medication is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin and an estrogen. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat.
- Contraception
- This medicine is used for the prevention of unwanted pregnancies.
- Emergency contraception
- This medicine is used for the emergency prevention of unwanted pregnancies. The oral tablet should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex; it should be taken at least within 72 to 120 hours after unprotected sex. A second dose should be taken 12 hours after the first dose.
